Antisemitism in Gaming

The project examines the manifestations and dynamics of antisemitism in digital gaming spaces. To this end, antisemitic content in gaming contexts is systematically documented and analyzed. The project is accompanied by a comprehensive knowledge transfer initiative that makes the findings accessible, in particular, to stakeholders in education, research, civil society, and the games industry, as well as to gamers themselves.

The project on antisemitism in gaming aims to establish an empirical foundation for further engagement with antisemitism in digital gaming and communication spaces. In addition to addressing existing gaps in research concerning the diverse manifestations of antisemitism in gaming contexts, the project also addresses gaps in prevention and educational work.

The project is funded as part of the Action Fund to Support Projects Against Antisemitism, administered by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
